Hello art friends!
You’re invited to a big event in Davis next weekend! We at Arboretum Art Works are joining Third Space Art Collective and UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden in an exciting art event collaboration! We hope this is just the first of many joint ventures of this kind in the future. We artists at our studios at Arboretum Art Works have really been enjoying this amazing location adjacent to the beautiful UC Davis Arboretum. One could not hope for a better spot to create art!
Next Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 from 2 pm-6 pm, we are part of “Making ART IN THE GARDEN with friends”, an interactive artist showcase in the Arboretum Gateway Garden. Looking at the attached map, you’ll see the 3 red areas which are the locations in the Arboretum Gateway Garden where you’ll find hands-on workshops, artist demonstrations, live music and art on display. The yellow spot represents Arboretum Art Works, where my studio is located along with about a dozen other artists, many of whom will be there that day hosting our open studio and sale. The turquoise blue square is the location of Third Space Art Collective*. In both of these locations, you will also find more workshops and demonstrations, as well as art for sale. In addition, local vendor Sweet and Savory Pies will have food for sale. This fabulous event is free, family friendly and accessible.
You’ll find me set up under my white canopy out in front of our studios, with many of my small ceramics, paintings, prints and cards. I’ll be floating in and out of the studio where you can view my large paintings inside. While the main event is from 2-6 pm, if you are out and about early, I (and some of the other artists in our studios) will be there as early as 10 am, so please come on by!

The Artery is pleased to present the second installment of a special mother and daughter art exhibit: Continuing on the Path. Painter and sculptor Cathie James-Robinson and painter Amanda Cadelago each bring their unique style to this show.
Cathie offers her interpretation of nature in all forms, from 2D to 3D. She exhibits detailed paintings with companion clay sculptures, focusing on local habitats and wildlife.
Amanda’s vibrant paintings span the outdoors from trails to waterways. Primarily set in the Sacramento region, each piece invites the viewer to go on an adventure or just sit and take in the splendor.
Artery is pleased to present a very special mother and daughter art exhibit. With nature as the common theme, painter and sculptor Cathie James-Robinson and painter Amanda Cadelago each bring their unique style to this show.

KVIE ART AUCTION
My original painting "UP CLOSE" was accepted into the KVIE Art Auction, which takes place on October 1, 2 & 3, 2021, and has received a Juror's Award. From there the image of my work was chosen to be on the September 2021 cover of INSIDE Sacramento (Land Park/Grid edition)!
